Art and Technology exhibition a great sucess
The Preston Girls Secondary College Bi Annual Art & Technology Exhibition was conducted last week and was a great success. The Exhibition showcased a diverse range of exhibits across all year levels. The Exhibition featured an eclectic mix of work including: painting, drawing, ceramics, digital art, traditional film photography, sculpture, garment construction and an extensive photographic display of food technology products. The Exhibition was officially opened by the college principal Mrs Cheryl Judd. Exhibitors mingled with parents, guests and staff, whilst enjoying light refreshments and enjoying the entertainment provided by a talented string group from the Music department.
The afternoon culminated in the presentation of prizes to the most outstanding exhibitors, the work being judged by a panel. The number of exhibits exceeded two hundred so the task of selecting only nine was a difficult task. In keeping with tradition The People’s Choice Award was again conducted giving the audience a chance to cast a vote for their favourite piece.
The Exhibition was a resounding success and the school community looks forward with anticipation to 2011 when the next major Art & Technology Exhibition is scheduled.
